Flow blue covered vegetable dish in the "Touraine" pattern.
This semi-porcelain serving dish by Henry Alcock & Co. features an elongated oval body on a molded pedestal base with scroll handles and a domed lid topped by a looped finial. Blurred cobalt floral transfers decorate both lid and body, framed by a rich cobalt border softened through the flow blue process. Traces of gilt accent the handles and finial, underscoring the late-Victorian decorative flourish. Intended for serving vegetables or side dishes, this form was a staple of coordinated table services, blending everyday function with ornamental refinement.
Finial handle has been re-glued.
