c. 1930s-1940s; The Turner Brass Works – Sycamore, IL Polished brass blow torch with cast iron burner assembly and signature red wooden handle, manufactured by The Turner Brass Works of Sycamore, Illinois. The cylindrical fuel tank supports an adjustable pressure valve, black control knob, and steel burner head embossed TURNER and SYCAMORE ILL. Originally used for soldering and industrial heating applications, this model exemplifies early 20th-century American craftsmanship and the durable, utilitarian beauty of pre-war tool design. Founded in the late 19th century, Turner Brass Works was a major Midwest producer of blow torches, valves, and precision fittings, known for their engineering quality and distinctive use of polished brass casings.

Displays mild oxidation to steel components and wear to painted handle; brass body retains a warm, natural patina.
