Description

C-17777

Group of three vintage tobacco-related containers, each representing a different era and brand of American smoking culture. Includes: • TOP Cigarette Tobacco Tin – Bright yellow 7 oz. tin with bold blue and red graphics, originally produced for the American rolling tobacco brand. • Plow Boy Chewing and Smoking Tobacco Pack – Cardboard package featuring full-color litho image of a farmer seated against his plow, one of the more iconic rustic advertising motifs. • Sweet Caporal Cigarettes Box – White cigarette box with red and blue lettering, signed "Kinney Bros." at the base, featuring an embossed art deco-style emblem. Sweet Caporal was a long-running brand in both the U.S. and Canadian markets, remembered for its strong association with baseball card inserts. Each piece reflects the marketing styles and packaging materials used in the early-to-mid 20th century tobacco industry. Together, the lot captures the bold typography, vivid lithography, and brand identity that made these products household names for decades.

Condition varies: tin shows light oxidation and scuffs, Plow Boy pack has edge wear and loss at the top flap, and Sweet Caporal box displays some age spotting and surface wear.
