Three-piece grouping of early grocery advertising tins including a red Monarch Creamy Peanut Butter pail with wire bail handle, a small Sultana Peanut Butter tin by The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co., and a taller Wish Bone Coffee can labeled “2 lbs. Net Weight” and packed by Capitol Grocery Co. The Monarch example retains its original carry handle and paper label panel, while the Sultana tin features period child illustration graphics and printed usage instructions on the reverse (“Stir oil thoroughly through peanut butter if it should separate”). The Wish Bone coffee can displays bold blue and red striping with central cup graphic and partial surviving paper label.
Monarch pail shows paint loss, scratches, scattered oxidation, and handling wear; bail intact. Sultana tin exhibits surface wear, minor denting, and darkening to rim and lid edge. Wish Bone coffee can shows significant paper label loss, tears, oxidation, and surface rust to lid rim. All sold as found.
