Multi-Estate Spring 2026 Auction
Lot 294:
Description
C-19329
Cream-glazed stoneware dome with cylindrical lower wall and rounded knop finial, featuring an open bottom and small vent hole along the side. The upper half presents a glossy glaze, while the lower body carries a more matte, lightly textured surface with subtle kiln irregularities. Interior walls show smooth throwing lines, and the unglazed foot rim displays natural firing discoloration. The small pierced hole suggests ventilation, supporting use as a butter mold, cheese cover, or early food dome intended to sit over a plate or base.
Shows scattered surface wear, light staining, and minor glaze irregularities consistent with age and firing. No visible cracks observed; structurally solid.
6.25” dia x 7” H
