Multi-Estate Spring 2026 Auction
Lot 263:
Description
C-19290
Clear glass one-gallon reservoir embossed “ONE GALLON” at the shoulder, mounted within a bent steel support frame with circular base ring and upper retaining band. The pivoting wire bail with coiled spring handle suggests the jug was designed to tip forward for controlled dispensing into a burner assembly. Examples of this form are commonly associated with small kerosene stove or heater systems, where an elevated gravity-fed glass tank supplied fuel to a wick or burner below.
The steel stand retains its darkened finish with oxidation and surface wear throughout. Glass shows light clouding and interior residue consistent with fuel use; no visible cracks observed and neck threads remain intact.
10.5” W x 8” D x 15–18” H
