c. 1960s/1970s; Wesson Oil & Snowdrift Sales Co. – New Orleans, LA
Large commercial bakery tin for “QUIK-BLEND” shortening, boldly printed in brown and cream with stylized spoon graphics along the sides. The front reads “Quik-Blend for cakes, icings and sweet doughs, ” with lower text noting “A Wesson Shortening Made of Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil – 110 LBS. NET.” The cylindrical steel body features rolled rims, side bail handles, and ribbed banding typical of bulk foodservice containers.
Shows surface wear including rust spotting, scratches, paint loss, and oxidation consistent with age and storage. Interior not fully inspected. Graphics remain strong and legible despite scattered wear. Sold as found.
