Pair of cast pewter bookends featuring a high-relief hummingbird in flight amid stylized calla lilies and trailing vine foliage. The composition is deeply dimensional, with the bird rendered in contrasting brighter pewter against a darker oxidized ground. Flowing Art Nouveau-inspired lines frame the central scene, while the outer sides remain smooth with gently rounded corners. Each bookend has a flat base and upright back support designed to brace volumes securely.
Both show light surface wear consistent with age including minor scuffs and subtle oxidation variation. No cracks or structural damage observed. Sold as a matched pair.
