Striking figural electric mantel clock featuring a saddled horse standing in profile beside a scalloped case clock, with a reclining cowboy at the base. The horse is richly detailed with bridle, reins, ornate saddle tooling, and saddle blanket, finished in a warm gilt tone that contrasts against the cream-painted stepped base. A decorative chain connects the bridle to the clock housing, reinforcing the Western motif. The clock case itself is framed in a molded, hammered-texture surround with Arabic numerals and blued hands behind a glass lens. The reverse retains its original metal back plate stamped for AC current only (60 cycles, 115 volt, 2W), manufactured under license by United Clock Corp., with “Pull Knob and Turn” instructions visible.
Shows surface wear including finish loss and rubbing to the gilt surfaces, particularly along raised edges of the horse and clock frame. The cream-painted base has scattered scuffs and small chips. Back plate shows age and light oxidation. Untested at time of cataloging.
