Oil on canvas landscape depicting a red covered bridge spanning a quiet river gorge. The painting is housed in an elaborate carved wooden frame featuring leaf and vine motifs at each corner with linear chip-carved detailing along the rails.
Surface of painting shows age-appropriate wear with visible craquelure and minor abrasions consistent with oil on canvas of this period. Frame exhibits finish wear and minor edge nicks. There appears to be a missing corner piece. Overall structurally sound and displays well.
