A matching pair of small footed bowls decorated in cobalt underglaze with scrolling floral sprays beneath a deep blue border. Their rounded walls and compact size identify them as oyster bowls, a specialty form designed for serving shellfish in late Victorian dining sets. Each example carries subtle differences in glaze diffusion, a hallmark of hand-applied flow blue production.
