Flow blue handled cake plate with floral decoration.
This semi-porcelain plate by Stanley Pottery is molded with twin integrated side handles and a scalloped rim, making it well-suited for serving cakes or pastries. Blurred cobalt floral transfers spread across the central field, framed by a deep cobalt border softened by the flow blue process. The rim is further detailed with embossed scrollwork and traces of gilt, lending both texture and ornament to the form. Decorative yet practical, this handled plate reflects the late-Victorian balance of refinement and utility in Staffordshire tablewares.
