Set of eight flow blue soup bowls in the "Touraine" pattern.
Produced in semi-porcelain by Henry Alcock & Co., these soup bowls feature the characteristic blurred cobalt floral transfers of the "Touraine" line. Each is molded with scalloped rims edged in a deep cobalt border, with sprays of blossoms diffused into the white ground by the flow blue technique. The gently rounded wells balance decorative flourish with everyday function, reflecting Staffordshire’s dual emphasis on beauty and durability in table service. Stamped beneath with the Alcock shield crest and "Touraine" mark.
A couple bowls exhibit chips on the rims and one piece has an in-the-making glaze mark.
