c. 1950s; Homeward Products – Des Moines, IA Mid Century SpinOff electric fish scaler manufactured by Homeward Products of Des Moines, Iowa. Built for 115V AC-DC current, this compact scaler features a textured black metal housing with chrome scaling head and original cylindrical cardboard storage tube bearing its red-and-silver label. Part of the 1950s wave of electric convenience tools for sportsmen, the SpinOff combined rugged construction with efficiency, designed to quickly remove fish scales with minimal effort.
Fully operational, though the power cord shows fraying near the entry point to the device and towards the knob and should be used with caution or repaired prior to use. Light cosmetic wear to casing and label consistent with age.
