*2-Day* Fresh Barn Finds & Country Estate Auction (Day 1/2)
Lot 217:
Description
C-18032
Set of five vintage household implements including a Bromco box grater, Star cast iron trivet, Wilton cast trivet, small metal sadiron with wood handle, and a handled metal strainer. Each item reflects utilitarian design from the early-to-mid 20th century, built with durability in mind for the daily demands of domestic kitchens. Bromco, established in Chicago, became one of the leading American manufacturers of tin and steel kitchenware, particularly graters and food prep tools. Wilton, based in Pennsylvania, developed a reputation for its decorative but practical cast iron trivets, often produced with stylized patterns. The sadiron and strainer round out the group as rugged, workaday pieces from the same era.
All pieces show expected wear including oxidation, surface scratches, and patina from decades of use. Each item remains structurally sound and displays well as a set of period kitchen tools.
Strainer: 13" L
