Figural ceramic group titled “Celebration, ” depicting a man affixing a red “Happy Birthday” ribbon across the Liberty Bell, with painter’s tools and supplies arranged at the base. Hand-painted with detailed architectural framing and cast bell form, the base signed “Norman Rockwell.” Based on the Norman Rockwell illustration “Celebration, ” reflecting patriotic themes centered on the Liberty Bell and American heritage. This example was produced in 1982 under license from the Norman Rockwell Museum, Inc., and Billboard Publications, Inc., as part of a collectible series translating Rockwell imagery into three-dimensional form. Underside marked with title, copyright, and numbered example (No. 7,482), retaining “Made in Japan” label.
General surface wear and light soiling throughout. Minor paint loss to edges and high points. Ribbon intact with light wear. Some discoloration to base and underside. No major cracks or breaks observed.
