Framed oil on canvas depicting a mounted cattle herder and dog driving cattle through an autumn landscape with a snow-capped mountain range. Signature on lower left is H. K. Ekwall — likely Harald Knut-Ekwall (1873–1962). The subject is consistent with Ekwall’s documented landscape and equestrian work during his years in Chile, circa 1900 – 1912.
Canvas shows overall age-related surface wear with pronounced craquelure, particularly across the upper portion of the painting. Surface is soiled with scattered abrasions and areas of pigment wear. Frame joints are tight and shows normal surface wear. Paper backing is heavily torn and deteriorated.
