Pair of decorative bookends featuring raised brass figures of a lion and unicorn against shaped red-painted metal backplates, each mounted on a rectangular brass base. c. mid-20th century
Overall age-related wear, tarnish, oxidation, and surface discoloration. Red-painted metal backplates have scattered paint loss and scratches and are secured to the figural fronts with wire, visible from the reverse. Bases retain green felt undersides with wear and soiling.
Unicorn: 5.75" L x 3" W x 6.25" H
