Fall Antiques & Americana (Part 1 of 2)
Lot 115:
Description
C-21999
Collection of vintage consumer audio electronics including a Pignose Model 7 portable battery-powered guitar amplifier, a two white plastic Dahlberg "Pillow Speaker" coin operated radios; a model 49-6 (circa 1949) and Model 4130-D (circa 1952 – 1955), and a pair of desktop microphones (the green tinted microphone is marked "Johnson" on the call button). The Pignose amplifier retains its distinctive suitcase-style case and internal battery compartment (6 AA batteries), while the remaining pieces represent a variety of mid-century personal listening and communication devices.
Pillow Radio 49-6 was rewired before reaching auction house (suggested rewiring before use), electic tape is wrapped around connecting wires to pillow speaker, and is missing the key. Pillow Radio 4130-D does not appear to have retained its coin box. Johnson microphone is in good condition with some oxidation on botom, while the unmarked micorphone’s button is stiff, with some scrapes and scuffs. All pieces have some scuffing and edgewear from age and use. All switches turn as appropiate. Nothing in lot has been tested, sold as is.
Pillow Speaker: 13.5" L x 5" W x 9" H
