Description

C-21631

Albany slip stoneware jug, circa 1850s – 1880s to lamp conversion, probably done in the mid-twentieth century. Features a brass-tone hand-pull chain socket assembly and a coarse burlap-style fabric shade.

The stoneware jug exhibits expected glaze wear, scattered firing imperfections, and light age-related surface wear. The burlap-style fabric shade shows light wear with minor fraying and small imperfections. Due to the attachment point of the shade to its hoop, the shade will not sit level on the lamp. Overall, the pottery body remains sound, lamp does not work and is sold as-is.
