Cast iron figural doorstop in the form of a stylized bird, likely a peacock or pheasant, shown with textured plumage and flanking foliage forms. Solid cast construction with flat back and openwork detailing, typical of early decorative doorstops. Retains original darkened surface with age-appropriate patina.
Surface wear, oxidation, and rust present throughout. Finish worn with areas of surface pitting. No major breaks observed.
