c. late 20th century; Winchester Repeating Arms Co – New Haven, CT Painted wooden advertising sign with shaped top and scalloped lower edge, featuring “Winchester Repeating Arms Co” in green and gold lettering above a printed pastoral scene of a wagon and barn. Lower text reads “2747 Mockingbird Lane, New Haven, Conn.” Reverse is plain wood with hanging cord attached. Decorative signs of this type were produced for den, lodge, and cabin décor, drawing on Winchester’s long standing association with sporting goods and Americana imagery.
Surface wear, scratches, and finish loss present throughout. Areas of paint wear and scuffing visible, particularly along edges. Back shows handling wear and discoloration. Structurally intact.
