c. late 19th–mid 20th century; American manufacture including California Beverage Co. – Chicago, IL and Jas E. Pepper & Co. – Lexington, KY Group of eight clear glass bottles including embossed and labeled examples such as “All American Beverages, ” a “One Quart” bottle, and a Jas E. Pepper & Co. Lexington, KY example. Includes a figural embossed bottle with decorative motif along with various utility and beverage forms typical of commercial packaging from the late 19th through mid-20th century. Embossed glass branding and returnable bottle systems were widely used prior to disposable packaging.
Surface wear, haze, and residue present throughout. Corked bottle contains unknown liquid. Typical manufacturing imperfections and age-related wear visible. No major cracks observed.
