Lot 259:
Description
19668
c. 1880s–1910s. Solid wood drop leaf table with plank top and hinged side leaves, supported by simple square legs and straight apron construction. The surface shows a well-worn, uneven patina with visible grain, color variation, and areas of heavy use, giving the piece a distinctly utilitarian, early rural character. Designed as a space-saving form, the leaves raise to expand the working surface, a common feature in farmhouse and kitchen tables of the period.
Heavy wear throughout, including deep scratches, finish loss, staining, and surface abrasions to top. Edges show rounding and wear from long-term use. Structurally stable with functional drop leaves; legs show scuffing and wear consistent with age.
Folded: 20.5" W x 38" D x 30" H Expanded: 40.25" W x 38" D x 30" H
