Mid 20th century. Matching earthenware teapot and pitcher finished in a rich brown glaze with mottled, flowing lighter slip accents. The teapot features a rounded body, fitted lid with knop finial, and a pronounced spout; the pitcher has a tall, slightly flared form with pinched spout and applied handle. Both show a glossy, kiln-reactive surface with subtle variation and depth typical of studio or utilitarian pottery. Unmarked aside from a hand-scratched “42” to the underside of the teapot.
General surface wear consistent with age and use. Light crazing present throughout, most visible on the teapot base. No major cracks or structural damage observed. Minor glaze imperfections and kiln marks as made.
