Description
C-18895
c. 1972-1973 Sears, Roebuck & Co. – Chicago Handheld 8mm movie camera produced for Sears under the C-130 designation, featuring the integrated Five/One Auto Zoom lens system and molded black body with textured grip. The camera is equipped with a built-in zoom lens, exposure and mode indicators, and top-mounted controls typical of consumer-grade filmmaking equipment from the 1970s. The compact, rectangular housing reflects the transitional period between fully mechanical cameras and later electronic video formats. This model was marketed in the early 1970s toward hobbyists and home filmmakers, offering simplified operation and a self-contained zoom system suited for family documentation, travel footage, and amateur filmmaking. The exterior retains its original finish and labeling, with visible wear consistent with use and storage. Overall form and detailing are emblematic of Sears-branded optical equipment from the era, produced for accessibility rather than professional cinema applications.
Shows surface wear, scuffing, and dust consistent with age and use. Lens shows exterior wear; internal condition unverified. Camera has not been tested. Sold as-is.
