Small wood chest with four drawers, turned front posts, paneled sides, and early hand-built construction details. The form bridges utility and restraint, with simple molded drawer fronts, oversized wooden knobs, and compact proportions. Decoration is limited to paneling on the sides, a slight ridge on the drawers, turned legs and corner columns.
This dresser is in fair condition with significant wear and missing veneer. The top bares a severely worn finish. The worn finish exposes secondary woods with uneven coloration. It should also be noted that the drawer pulls are mismatched.
