c. 1950s/1960s; (possibly) Red Wing Potteries, Inc. – Red Wing, MN Salt-glazed stoneware jar with a cylindrical body and matching domed lid. The jar features straight sides, a thick rolled rim, and a recessed mouth designed to seat the lid securely. Both the jar and lid display a mottled gray glaze with natural firing variation, kiln speckling, and areas of fine craquelure consistent with age and use. The interior is fully glazed, suitable for food or dry-goods storage. Unmarked, as is typical of regional stoneware made for everyday domestic use. American stoneware jars of this form were widely produced in the late 19th and early 20th centuries for preserving, storage, and general household utility, valued for their durability and practical design.
Shows general surface wear consistent with age, including glaze variation, fine craquelure, and minor surface abrasions. Lid present and fitting properly. No cracks or repairs observed.
