Metal mesh chain handbag with ornate embossed frame, kiss-lock clasp, and linked chain strap. Lower edge retains hanging tassel details, while the interior frame is marked “Ger. Silver Throughout.” Decorative scrolling and floral motifs appear across the upper frame. Produced in Germany or for the export market in the early to mid 20th century using German silver alloy construction.
Shows tarnish, oxidation, surface wear, and age-related discoloration throughout. Some deformation and wear present to mesh and tassel elements. One tassel is malformed as seen in photographs.
