Lot including a brass shaving brush cover surmounted by a figural ship finial reading “The Victory, ” together with a second brass shell-form desk accessory incorporating a mounted bullet cartridge marked “EMPTY.” Both pieces exhibit hand-altered construction associated with military trench art and souvenir desk items. Produced by unidentified makers, likely mid-20th century using repurposed military brass components.
Surface wear, oxidation, scratches, and residue present throughout from age and use.
