This antique Bissell’s Brand manual carpet sweeper features an all-wood body with original stenciled branding on the top panel and a long wooden handle. Equipped with four wheels and cylindrical brush rollers, this early model was designed to pick up debris from carpets without the use of electricity, reflecting the late 19th to early 20th century era of home cleaning innovations. Manufactured by Bissell, founded in 1876 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the company became a leader in carpet sweepers worldwide.
One chipped wheel and notable paint loss.
