This vintage Wolverine tinplate adding machine features a bright and colorful mechanical design with five number columns and corresponding total windows. Made in the USA as both a functional teaching toy and coin bank, the unit allowed children to practice basic arithmetic through sliding counters. Finished in classic red, blue, black, and cream lithography with stenciled lettering: "Wolverine – Made in U.S.A. – Adding Machine – Patent Pending."
Moderate wear to paint and surface scratching throughout; some fading and oxidation consistent with age and use.
