Vintage Market Porter badge No. 866 with porcelain face. This identification badge features a white enamel face with bold red lettering, a central shield emblem, and the number 866 prominently displayed. Originally worn by licensed market porters in historic city markets, the badge is mounted on a curved metal plate with intact leather strap attachments. The porcelain enamel remains vibrant with minimal wear, offering a striking example of utilitarian design with strong graphic appeal. A rare survivor from the era of regulated market labor.
Porcelain face shows minor surface scratches and scattered small chips typical of use. Leather straps are worn, with surface cracking and rust on the metal fittings.
