This pair of vintage tins includes: • Perfection Mothicide (Paradichlorbenzene) by Avon Products, Inc. – a large green and white canister marked for insect protection and storage use. Distributed out of New York and Montreal. • Dr. Hess Poultry Tablets – a small red, yellow, and black tin containing 44 fifteen-grain tablets (25¢ marked price), manufactured by Hess & Clark, Inc., Ashland, OH. Promoted as a local antiseptic and disinfectant for poultry drinking water. Both represent early 20th-century household and agricultural packaging design.
Moderate surface wear and fading. Labels remain legible and graphics are intact.
