This 1879 chromolithograph by George Stinson & Co. depicts a richly dressed Victorian mother lovingly embracing her young child, who stands on a striped chair to reach her. The composition is set in an ornate interior with period furniture and drapery, rendered in soft, warm tones typical of late 19th-century sentimental prints. The piece is housed in an early oak wood frame.
Light foxing and toning present on the print surface. Frame shows minor edge wear. The piece has not been inspected outside of the frame.
