Early 1900s rimless pince-nez bi-focal eyeglasses with gold-tone wire fittings, spring bridge, and attached chain. Includes the original black velvet-covered case. A classic early 20th-century personal accessory for the literate of the time. Pince-nez glasses are a style of eyewear that stays on the nose without earpieces, held in place by pinching the bridge of the nose. The name, derived from French, literally translates to "pinch nose."

Good antique condition with minor surface wear, light scratches to lenses, and some oxidation to metal parts. The bottom part of the lenses are very light reading magnification roughly to 1x-1.5x. The top part of the lenses have no prescription. Please refer to photos for more detail on condition.
