Die-cut mechanical Valentine card depicting a girl in winter attire sledding down a snowy hill, framed against a red heart background. The printed verse reads: "Listen Valentine – You’ve always given me a thrill…" with a movable sled piece adding playful dimension. A small sign on the card reads "Hope I am not coasting for a spill!" adding to its whimsical charm. The reverse bears a handwritten inscription: "Wayne – From Susan." Mechanical Valentines like this were popular mid-20th-century novelties, often sold in assortments for children to exchange at school. Their playful designs and bright lithography reflect the lighthearted commercial culture of American holidays during the era.
Shows light creasing and minor surface wear; inscription present on reverse. Overall well-preserved with intact mechanism.
