Group of four vintage clothing irons representing both electric and traditional heated ironing methods used in American homes during the early to mid-twentieth century. The set includes three electric irons with chrome-plated bodies and molded handles, along with one earlier manual iron featuring a removable heated core and a separate metal warming plate. Brands represented include Sunbeam and American Beauty, both known for producing durable household irons designed for everyday domestic use.
The manual iron features a wooden handle mounted above a metal frame that secured the heated insert, allowing the iron body to remain in use while the core was reheated on a stove or warming plate.
Condition varies across the group with visible wear including scratches, oxidation, and discoloration consistent with age and prior use. Electrical functionality has not been tested.
