Description

C-19626

Group of three vintage electric pop-up toasters representing mid-century American kitchen appliance design. The lot includes a rounded chrome and Bakelite General Electric toaster with a decorative etched motif on the body, a rectangular Proctor-Silex toaster with adjustable control dial and front slider, and a streamlined chrome toaster with Art Deco-influenced stepped base and side browning control dial. Each unit reflects the transition from heavy chrome housings with Bakelite bases to more compact and simplified countertop appliances introduced during the mid-twentieth century.

Condition varies across the group with visible wear including oxidation, scratches, and discoloration consistent with age and use. One toaster is missing its electrical cord. The Proctor-Silex example powers on and functions, though it emits a burning dust smell when heated. The remaining units are untested.
