Large assortment of 10 early twentieth-century pharmacy and patent medicine containers including glass bottles, tins, cartons, and labeled jars. The group represents a cross-section of common drugstore products once sold through pharmacies and general stores, with examples such as McKesson’s Powdered Alum, Hall’s Two-Method Treatment, Rexall Bisma-Rex Powder, E.C. DeWitt’s D. & C. Expectorant Compound, Aspirin Tablets, Ceradyne Tablets, Equanil tablets, and Fuller Denture Cleanser.
Several items retain their original packaging and inserts, including the Hall’s Two-Method Treatment bottle with paper instructions and carton, and the DeWitt’s expectorant bottle with matching box and informational leaflet. The Bisma-Rex container includes both the glass jar and the printed Rexall carton advertising relief for upset stomach due to excess acidity.
Condition varies across the group with visible wear including label fading, box wear, oxidation on metal lids, and general age-related patina. Items shown individually photographed appear to retain original contents, while others show varying levels of residue or prior use consistent with age.
