Mixed group of vintage printed ephemera including magazines, booklets, and promotional publications. The lot includes a January 26, 1959 issue of LIFE magazine featuring prehistoric animals on the cover; a New York World’s Fair Jumbo Coloring Book with illustrated scenes of the fair including futuristic attractions and space-themed displays; a WLS Album publication from the Prairie Farmer station featuring photographs and biographies of radio personalities; and several mid-century “Classics Illustrated” comic books including The Prince and the Pauper. Additional items include a booklet titled Mother Triumphs, a publication titled To The City featuring a steam locomotive on the cover, and other assorted printed materials including a Lincoln Day dinner publication and a booklet titled The Golden Beatles. Several interior pages from the coloring book and the WLS publication are illustrated with period photography and line drawings.
Items show varying degrees of wear including edge wear, toning, and handling marks. Some pieces are stored in plastic sleeves. The coloring book appears partially used while other publications show light to moderate age-related wear.
