Multi-Estate Spring 2026 Auction
Lot 474:
Description
C-19560
Pair of glazed pottery serving vessels including a small lidded teapot and a larger handled pitcher, both finished in warm brown glazes typical of mid-century American kitchen ceramics. The teapot features a rounded body with applied handle and curved pouring spout, topped by a domed lid with knob finial. Its surface displays mottled glaze pooling with lighter caramel-toned highlights that accentuate the contours of the form. The accompanying pitcher has a taller cylindrical body with a pronounced pouring lip and ribbed upper section beneath the rim, finished in a darker brown glaze with subtle tonal variation.
Shows moderate age-related wear including glaze irregularities and surface marks consistent with use. The teapot exhibits a crack running across the base from edge to edge that is visible on both the interior and exterior surfaces as shown in the photographs.
Teapot: 7” dia x 6.5” H
