Collection of vintage Gulf Oil “Tourgide” road maps printed by Rand McNally for Gulf service stations, each featuring bright mid-century travel illustration with the classic orange Gulf disc logo and roadside service station scene on the cover. The group includes multiple regional editions such as Minnesota and Wisconsin, Iowa and Missouri, Colorado and Wyoming, Alabama, Kentucky and Tennessee, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada and Utah, along with a United States overview map, all housed in their original clear protective sleeves.
The interiors show dense highway networks, interstate routes (noted as partially erected), towns, parks, and points of interest, along with Rand McNally’s detailed mileage guides and cartographic legend. Each example also includes the printed “Your Gulf Travel Card” advertisement on the reverse—an early gasoline credit system used by motorists traveling coast-to-coast.
Shows light age-related handling wear overall but appears free from any major tears; maps remain bright and legible with typical fold lines and minor sleeve wear.
