Whimsical battery-powered novelty lamp depicting a seated hobo figure in black suit and top hat leaning against a stylized streetlamp. The figure holds a cigar in one hand and a small bottle in the other, dressed with a red striped bow tie and flower lapel detail. Mounted to a round pink base with integrated green lamppost housing and sliding “ON / OFF” switch marked “Japan.” Designed to operate on two UM-1 (D-cell) batteries housed within the base.
Lamp is untested. Surface shows age-related wear including dust accumulation, fabric wear to clothing, paint scuffs, and oxidation to metal components. Switch intact; battery compartment not inspected for function. Overall displays strong midcentury novelty character.
