Lot 27:
Description
C-18585
1950s; Louis Marx and Company – New York, NY Molded plastic USAF jet fighter toy produced by Marx, finished in blue and silver with applied U.S. Air Force insignia and a red nose cone. The streamlined mid-century jet form reflects postwar fascination with aviation and the emerging jet age, while the integrated rolling landing gear underscores its play-focused design. The clear canopy reveals a die-cast metal pilot figure seated in the cockpit, a detail that adds both visual interest and durability. Bold colors, simplified proportions, and graphic insignia place the piece squarely within classic 1950s American toy design.
Shows surface wear consistent with age and play, including scuffs, scratches, and paint loss throughout. The plastic body remains intact, wheels roll freely, and the die-cast pilot is present in the cockpit. Overall condition is honest and displayable.
