Hand-crank wooden clothes wringer branded “Matchless” and “Horse Shoe Combination Tub Clamps, ” featuring a solid wood frame, turned wooden crank handle, and cream-colored rubber rollers. The front board is boldly stenciled “MATCHLESS, ” while the lower cross member reads “Horse Shoe Clothes Wringer – Warranted ___ Year for Family Use, ” with original painted lettering still visible beneath surface wear. The top instruction panel retains detailed usage directions noting “This wringer has warranted rubber rolls & galvanized tube shafts” and guidance for oiling bearings. Cast metal horse-shoe style combination tub clamps remain intact at the base, designed to secure the wringer to galvanized iron, fibre, or wooden wash tubs.
Shows age-appropriate wear including finish loss, scattered paint remnants, scratches, and areas of oxidation to metal components. Rubber rollers show cracking and surface wear consistent with age. Lettering is partially worn but legible in areas. Mechanism turns by hand; not tested under load. Sold as found.
