Contrasting pair of candlesticks featuring one turned hardwood example with a warm honey-toned finish and one clear pressed-glass example with squared base and faceted collar. The wooden stick shows classic lathe-turned shaping with a rounded baluster form, stepped foot, visible grain lines, and a brass candle cup insert at the top. The glass candlestick carries a strong geometric profile—square foot with chamfered corners rising into a tapered stem and flared socket—its clarity revealing air bubbles and subtle mold lines consistent with early pressed production.
Both pieces show age-related wear. The wooden candlestick has surface scuffs, minor nicks at the base edge, and natural grain checking. The glass example shows light surface wear and internal bubbles typical of manufacture; no major cracks observed.
