Painted steel helmet with flared brim and domed crown, finished in olive drab with “Auxiliary Police” insignia to front. Interior retains partial liner components. Form follows mid-century civil defense and auxiliary service use.
Shows moderate to heavy wear. Exterior paint exhibits scuffs, oxidation, and loss; interior liner is deteriorated with material loss as shown. Name “Jeanne Petroski” is written to the interior.
