This light fixture was fashioned by mounting a brass-based wall sconce into the flat head of a cut oak barrel, a creative repurposing common in mid-20th-century taverns and basement rec-rooms. The standout feature is its six-inch opal milk glass globe decorated with circus-style font — an eye-catching motif evocative of mid-century signage.
The barrel head retains its original iron strapping, secured with dome rivets and flat-head screws, while the wood staves show a rich, aged patina. Brass hardware carries a time-earned tarnish but remains structurally sound.
