Striking modernist table lamp featuring tiered copper shade bands mounted on a stepped wooden base.
This lamp exemplifies midcentury experimentation with geometric form and material contrast. Three overlapping copper bands form a sculptural shade, diffusing light downward in a warm glow. The shade is supported by angular wood arms and anchored to a tiered rectangular base in natural finish, balancing warmth with industrial edge while echoing American interpretations of European Bauhaus, Streamline, and Art Deco influences during the 1940s.
The lamp has been tested and works. The copper surfaces show scattered oxidation and spotting, consistent with age, while the wood retains its smooth finish. Overall condition remains very good.
